Chatamari – Traditional Newari Food from Nepal

Chatamari is a famous Newari dish that is a crepe made of rice flour and topped with mixed spices (chili powder, cumin powder, ginger-garlic paste, etc.), eggs, mincemeat (buff or chicken), and seasoning vegetables. It is also referred to as a Newari pizza with different tastes.

There are varieties of Chatamari like vegetable Chatamari, Egg Chatamari, Keema Chatamari, and plain Chatamari. It can also be easily found in many restaurants in the Kathmandu Valley.
