Chhath Puja is the mainly celebrated in Terai region of Nepal and also in Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh of India. Though many of the Hindu communities celebrate this festival, the Maithili and Bhojpuri Ethnic are the primary to celebrate this festival. The goal they are saying is to achieve purity both physical and spiritual.

Why Chhath Puja?
Chhath puja is a way to be thankful to the Sun for giving the bounties of life in the world and for the success of desires of believers. Chhath puja is a competition of reverence to the sun deity, the only competition inside the world in which devotees offer salutations to the putting sun. Unlike Holi or Tihar, Chhath puja is a competition of prayer and appeasement discovered with sombreness, a pageant that should not be missed. Chhath puja is held in excessive esteem and regard.

Chhath puja is the festival of fact, non-violence, forgiveness and compassion.
